Case Study: State System

State System with Four Four-Year Institutions

This state system consists of four campuses, all four-year degree-granting institutions. Together, these institutions offered more than 175 programs comprised of 28 certificates, 28 bachelor’s degrees, 95 master’s degrees, 3 PhDs, and 21 endorsements.

Although the system already had a centralized website that had been launched in 2010, administrators noticed that changing search engine algorithms and shifts in the way that prospective students conducted their searches for information were having a negative impact on its performance. Changes were needed, and quickly. In 2015 the system decided to utilize the Ranku platform to create a new centralized website that would address these issues.

The following objectives and goals were identified:

  • Increase RFIs for all programs, certificates, and endorsements
  • Update and enhance SEO
  • Consolidate email follow-up procedures
  • Use data to identify programs with the most growth potential
  • Strengthen the system’s online presence

Utilizing the Ranku platform helped this system surpass its goal, increasing inquiries from prospective students and converting much more of its organic traffic.
