Louisville, KY (November 18, 2020) –Wiley University Services, a division of John Wiley & Sons, Inc. that provides tailored services and technology solutions for university and corporate partners, today announced receipt of the 2020 Workplace Agility Award from the Worksite Wellness Council of Louisville for the company’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Given the impact of COVID-19, the 2020 Workplace Agility Award was tailored to highlight workplace response to the pandemic and the ability of the company, and their subsequent wellness programs, to adapt. Wiley was one of several companies with a presence in Louisville to be honored with the Workplace Agility Award.
Like many organizations, Wiley experienced an unprecedented change in March, with the company’s entire global workforce shifting to fully remote. Understanding that mental and physical fitness was a priority for colleagues, Wiley launched an eight-week wellness challenge focused on multiple aspects of mind and body health to inspire and encourage healthy habits among employees. Colleagues earned points by logging activities such as daily movement, drinking enough water, and mindfulness exercises like meditation. Participating colleagues were eligible to win prizes. In total, 500 Wiley University Services colleagues participated in physical and mental well-being activities.
“Mental and physical fitness is key to staying balanced and finding success at work,” said Todd Zipper, President of Wiley University Services. “We felt that, by prompting both mental and physical well-being among our colleagues, we could help them succeed at work and life.”
