Meet the New Partner Team
Vice President of Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development, Jay leads the team responsible for joining forces with higher education institutions to build long-term strategic partnerships. His goal is to ensure institutions are more effectively attracting, recruiting, engaging, and retaining students while preserving the academic quality and rigor at an institution.
Beyond his expertise in the education market, Jay has years of experience in the legal profession, where he developed skills that are vital when collaborating with numerous decision-makers at the institution and our organization to come to a consensus. Jay believes collaboration is the biggest value Wiley Education Services brings to our partners, especially as thought leaders within our partnerships as it allows the full team to quickly adapt to innovations in our highly dynamic industry.
Jay earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Mississippi and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
Senior Director of New Partner Development
With 19 years of experience in higher education and 13 years of experience helping to build and lead the Enrollment Services operation at Wiley Education Services, Cory has dedicated his career to helping students return to school and achieve their personal and professional goals. Cory is an innovator and has a track record of transforming and optimizing student recruitment through technology, new business processes, and an omni-channel experience that reimagines how students research programs and apply.
In his current role, Cory helps institutions find ways to attract, recruit, and retain students, and is responsible for building long-term, strategic partnerships. As someone who believes in the importance of higher education and its ability to positively transform individuals and society, Cory loves working with leaders in higher education to architect solutions that allow universities to thrive and create transformative experiences for students. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and a master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Cory lives in Chicago and is a big Cubs fan.

Director of New Partners
Owen brings five years of experience in bridging technology with organizational needs to Wiley Education Services. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Eastern Illinois University, he started his career in technology sales. Owen moved into the education sector in 2005 with a position as Education Territory Executive with Novell, bringing its solutions to higher education clients. Following stints to continue to support higher education institutions in similar positions at Moxie Software and CourseSmart, earning him a constellation of awards and professional recognition, he joined Wiley Education Services’ precursor, Deltak.
Today at Wiley Education Services he serves as a Director of New Partners, where he identifies and consults with potential higher education partners in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S. about how Wiley can help them meet their strategic objectives, serving as an important point of contact and support throughout an often complex process. Owen feels personally fulfilled by assisting institutions that don’t have the capacity, resources, or financial means to expand their programming and not just meet but exceed their institutional goals. In doing so, “I have the privilege to work with some of the most driven friends and colleagues, who are all interested in the ultimate goal of helping students succeed. Everything we do is for the common goal of changing and improving students’ lives, which is something we all take great pride in.”

Director of New Partners
One of the things Jerome appreciates most about Wiley is its refusal to rest on the laurels of its more than 200-year history: “Wiley continues to reinvest in opportunities and solutions that bring innovation, change, and growth into an industry that desperately needs to harness all three to be sustainable for the next 200 years.” He contributes directly to those efforts, working with Wiley’s education partners to foster new and creative learning experiences, with a focus on Ranku as a product offering.
Wiley’s core value of the very highest business and personal ethics resonates with Jerome on a personal and professional level. “I want to be held accountable for my actions, decisions and value to our education partners,” he says. “Their willingness to trust my advice or counsel as a business partner in representing the brand of Wiley is paramount to our ability for having long-term success.”
Jerome has a proven track record of providing consulting services and sales solutions in higher education. Before coming to work at Wiley in 2017, he held leadership roles at Keypath Education and the University of Phoenix. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations from Millikin University and an MBA in Organizational Behavior from Lake Forest School of Graduate Management.
